British by birth, multicultural by nature, I grew up in rural East Anglia, rambling through fields, playing tennis on local streets, watching Formula 1 racing, going on holiday with my schoolteacher mum and sisters at (often rain-soaked) archaeological burial sites (LOL), visiting my dad in France, playing the cello and dreaming about an adventurous life ahead.  Fascinated and thrilled by different cultures and histories, I studied Russian, Chinese, German, French and Spanish with degrees in Political Science, Russian, Broadcast Journalism and Business. 

Over the last twenty-five years, radio dominated my professional life on both sides of the Pond; at the inception, doing radio plays at the BBC and "hospital radio" at one of London's largest cancer-treating hospitals, enjoying D-Jing on pirate radio stations in London and Manchester, to winding my way to Boston and Los Angeles radio where I have entertained (I hope), bantered, and informed people of traffic, news and weather. Still do!

But I love reading aloud. I truly do. I love absorbing the words, sounds and emotions of the book. Rich descriptions and dialogue, whether it be from historical dramas, books of cultural inclusion, spy novels, cozy mysteries, romantic comedies, quirky, off-beat pieces, or works of non-fiction, satisfy my many sides and interests.
